Fill In The Bright Lights

zs40

I had the pleasure of shooting Sonya and Zach's wedding over the weekend at a vineyard in Virginia. I've had a chance to look through the photos a bit and overall I'm happy with how they turned out, especially considering that there wasn't a cloud in the sky that day. From the long shadows above, you can see how harsh and bright the sun was throughout the ceremony and the reception. Fortunately, I was able to use fill flash to add another light source, or most of my photos would have been either half in shadow, silhouettes, or people squinting into the sun. I haven't quite finished uploading everything from the wedding yet, but I have posted some of the photos on Flickr for those who want to see them.

My school should have hired you for the photography. I took a look at the pictures and my face is cast in shadow in all of them.

These look great, Drew. It's always nice to pop in here and see your work. It's amazing.
