The Birthday Triumvirate

So, this weekend, I figured I would setup my camera as a photo booth at a birthday party. Everyone loves photo booths, right? To make this work, I went out and bought a remote for me camera and tested it out real quick before heading out to the party. Everything worked pretty well at first and we got a few decent photos at the party with the setup, but a problem surfaced pretty quickly. For whatever reason, the D70 wouldn't stay in the proper shooting mode and would revert to normal shooting mode after sitting around for a bit. This defeated the entire purpose of the thing, since it meant I would have to be around to set the damn thing up every time someone wanted to use it. Oh well, I'll have to fool around with it some more to see if it is possible to get it working the way I would like at a future party. That, or write up some very clear instructions on how to flip the camera into remote mode.

While I was thinking about photo booths, I stumbled across a site that lists the locations of photo booths around the country, plus a few in other countries. Also, a friend pointed me to Photoboof, which unfortunately will not work with any of the cameras I currently own, but might be useful in the future.
