Old Navy Performance Rock: So, earlier today brought the news that Old Navy was ripping off Oxes, my favorite band to come out of the mean streets of Baltimore. Supposedly there's an Old Navy t-shirt that reproduces an Oxes concert poster. As always, when something like this comes up with Oxes, I kind of take it with a grain of salt due to some of their past pranks. Is it real? We'll see.

With a little help from illness, my normal pallor (Irish+English+Ashkenazi=pale) was transformed into that of reanimated zombie. "You look pale, even for you!" Mary Timony is playing on August 17th at Fort Reno, so I may have to head out for that show as well as the Shellac show at the end of the month. From what I've heard of it, her last solo album (Ex Hex) seems to hit a lot of the notes that made Helium's Dirt of Luck one of my favorite albums of the mid90s.
