I'm checking out the price of plane tickets, getting ready to head out West to the family cabin in Wyoming sometime this summer.
Yesterday, while flipping through old clips of The Wedding Present and getting myself worked up about the upcoming show at the Black Cat, I stumbled across a pretty amusing big band version of Brassneck performed by David Gedge and the BBC Big Band. If you don't have the original version of Brassneck, go listen to it for the sake of comparison. But really, you should have the original version already! Seriously.
Totally exhausted from the longest workday I've had in ages.
Watch: Dirty On Purpose playing Spider Eyes live in Chapel Hill.
Watch: Stiff Little Fingers playing Alternative Ulster in Germany in 1980.
Yesterday I stumbled across a rather strange thing: someone had lifted a photo I took of Fugazi at Fort Reno back in 1998 for a Youtube clip of Suggestion. I suppose I should be worked up that someone is using a photo of mine without permission, but I can't say that was my reaction, primarily since it is something non-commercial and they aren't claiming that they took the photo. So, that happened!
Congrats to Steve and Vera on the birth of their baby girl!
