I'm off to Las Vegas for the Matador at 21 show, where I'll catch Superchunk for the third time this year, which makes me feel like it's the 90s all over again. If I have to tell the truth, I'm probably more excited about Guitar Wolf than I am about any other band this weekend, even if Billy is dead.
I'm so, so looking forward to heading out to Vegas for the Matador at 21 show. If you aren't able to make it, you aren't completely out of luck though! If you've got some time on your hands, Myspace will be streaming the concert this weekend, plus you'll also be able to watch it on demand afterwards.
Talking about Baltimore with coworkers earlier today lead to listening to a bunch of Oxes, like it was ten years ago or something. Go listen to some: Oxes playing And Giraffe, Natural Enemies in Texas, back in 2003.
Woops, thought I would have some more photos of Superchunk today, but I didn't get to actually shoot them on Friday, although I still got to see them again, so the evening was still pretty awesome. Maybe I'll get another shot at Superchunk in Vegas in a few weeks. So, in the meantime here are some more photos of Those Darlins.
Those Darlins - Night Jogger live in Philly
Got a chance to see Those Darlins at the Black Cat last night. Highly recommend going to see them if they are coming to your town sometime soon! Their blend of country and garage rock was pretty infectious and pretty much impossible not to enjoy. I'm pretty sure that's the most fun I've seen folks have at a show at the Cat in a long time. Next up, Superchunk--again!--tomorrow night!
Got to fool around with the Canon S95 this past weekend at the Skins game. Pretty nice to have a decent camera that actually fits in my pocket, which is something that I've never had. Looking forward to playing around with it more.
